Job description
The B2B division of New Media Publishing, based in Johannesburg, is looking for a junior digital assistant to work in their website portal development team. The division concentrates on developing website portals for industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have strong admin skills, be accurate and computer literate, and will be comfortable generating and following up on sales leads in some instances.
The role
- Processing of PDF brochures. This includes OCR, meta tagging, optimising, and SEO (training will be provided)
- Indexing of brochures (training will be provided)
- Maintaining and checking client and database information
- Building up databases
- Generating monthly online statistics and analytics
- Providing general assistance to the industrial buyer team
- Compiling editorial pages consisting of well-placed and chosen images and relevant text
- Updating client portals on Industrial Buyer Online
- Material collection for Industrial Buyer Online
- Tracking of contracts for Industrial Buyer
- Filing
- Pie chart statistic reports for renewal clients
- Proof prints for Industrial Buyer
Requirements
Requirements
- At least two years of work experience (training will be given in this industry)
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to work in a compact team
- Good administrative skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good eye for detail
- Excellent command of the English language
- Knowledge of content management systems is an advantage
- Proficiency in Photoshop or photo editing software will be helpful
- Eye for colour and layout
