99c is a full-service, integrated advertising agency with offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Zambia, and is one of South Africa’s largest, independently-owned agencies. Led by founder and managing director Andrew Brand, the agency’s extensive client base includes leading brands such as Shoprite/Checkers; Ackermans; PUMA; the Spur Group and Distell, to name but a few. Our Cape Town office is looking for a digital creative group head to join our Creative Team.
Role summary:
Our ideal candidate is a solutions-driven, conceptual creative group head who has honed his/her digital craft in conjunction with a strong ATL background. We are looking for someone who has excellent time-management skills; is detail-oriented and holds him/herself accountable.
The successful incumbent will conceptualise digital campaign strategies and translate them into high-quality digital campaigns from concept to completion in accordance with brand guidelines. We want a Digital Creative Group Head with a great, can-do attitude with an innate ability to lead a vibrant creative team.
Responsibilities:
- Well-versed in web, app and social media collateral
- Supervising and managing all production stages
- Develop a constructive working relationship with internal teams and assist in building creative rationales
- Share knowledge and build the excitement of creative trends within the team
- Respond quickly to team needs, providing support and constructive feedback
- Working closely with the client service and traffic teams on daily aspects of projects
- Passion for the work and a key driver for high creative standards
- Remain up-to-date and ahead of the curve with the latest digital marketing trends, techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- Relevant digital/visual communication degree or diploma
- At least five years of relevant experience in a digital advertising/creative agency
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential)
- Good understanding of digital marketing and technology
- Able to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Proactive and have a good understanding of how to run a campaign and push process in order to meet the objectives of the brief
- Proficient in the latest software and confident working on a Mac
- Must be able to work under extreme pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
- Experience in retail accounts highly advantageous
