 The ideal candidate must be able to:

• Manage and train teams of digital editors, journalists, content creators and sales representatives
• Grow and maintain several news and lifestyle websites editorially and commercially
• Grow and manage several social media strategies
• Plan digital campaigns
• Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
• Create Facebook business ad campaigns
• Measure web and social media traffic, compile reports and set growth targets
• Enhance online engagement and reader experience
• Manage daily online schedule and content-flow planning
• Implement new content strategies, best practice guidelines and develop profitable commercial offerings

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Proven managerial work experience in a related field
• Hands-on experience with content management systems
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Familiarity with SEO principles
• Own reliable transport
• Be able to work after hours when required
• Basic knowledge of media law and editorial work environment
• Understanding of website analytics and related tools
• Excellent communication, ability to manage groups and deal with pressure
