Adclick Africa is seeking an enthusiastic, self-starter for a role at the front line of our digital agency in Durban. To work at Adclick Africa as a digital marketing consultant is to be a part of something big! The DMC is a customer-facing, field-based role that acquires, manages, and retains clients. Working with the marketing expert, the DMC will be responsible for managing the client lifecycle through acquiring new clients, collaborating and working together with marketing experts to onboard, provide support and retain clients.
As a digital marketing consultant, you’ll have an opportunity to sell a broad set of solutions from our extensive market-leading portfolio, such as search engine marketing (PPC), display advertising (banner advertising), web and creative design, including services for organic search, social media marketing, etc.
You will
- Aggressively pursue and close new business and revenue streams.
- Effectively work with the marketing expert to manage the client relationship and retain and build account revenue.
- Skillfully articulate and present our digital marketing services to hotels in your region.
- Create and conduct face-to-face customer presentations, proposals and demonstration.
- Effectively coordinate all aspects of the sale from start to finish.
- Conduct client check-ins, upsell/cross-sell accounts and address client issues.
- Attend regularly scheduled office meetings and developmental activities.
- Utilise CRM effectively and efficiently recording all sales activity.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and understand customer business requirements, pain-points and in a clear and concise manner position our digital marketing solutions that is a viable option for the customer and Adclick Africa.
- Identifying, negotiating, contracting and managing relationships with independent, boutique and chain hotels in your region.
- Negotiate and secure contracts on behalf of Adclick Africa to achieve set business goals through appropriate commercial terms and advantageous upsell.
- Self-starter with proven experience in effectively managing sales pipeline, communicate proactively with manager and clients throughout the signup process.
- Achieve set monthly, quarterly and annual goals to achieve targeted business goals.
- The position requires a positive collaborative individual who can work independently across functions and regions.
- Collaborate with our marketing services team to monitor campaign success.
- Keep abreast of any regional hotel electronic distribution trends: new, emerging or changing.

Requirements
Qualifications/experience
- Knowledge surrounding aspects of digital marketing (content marketing, SEO, social media, PPC etc.) and how they all work together. Also an understanding of how each digital marketing channel helps companies with their overall business goals.
- Three to five years of B2B consulting sales experience with industry contacts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven and excellent negotiating skills, understand industry contracts and negotiations.
- Ability to work within a highly motivated and success driven team.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required).
- Extremely organised and detail oriented.
- Self-disciplined and motivated as well as a team player.
- Thirst for knowledge — constantly reading, studying and testing.
- Highly competitive but always compassionate and helpful to others.
- Creative and innovative strategic thinker.
- Ability to meet deadlines even if that means working weekends or late nights sometimes.
- Not afraid of reaching out to complete strangers and able to quickly connect and build a bond with them, the more social you are the better.
