We’re looking for a natural-born writer with exceptional copywriting skills to join our creative team. If you love spinning a juicy tale through your carefully honed skills of massaging the written word; and are as comfortable with crafting a punchy one-liner for Twitter through to an in-depth feature article for our Xulture trend-focused articles, do get in touch. We are looking for a sharp and witty writer who is multi-lingual in a number of SAs official and unofficial languages and who is not afraid to dig deep into the fabric of our lives to find a compelling story to craft.

We’re also hoping that our candidate has a strong techy & geeky side, as we look for creative executors on our team who understand the tech and digital world intimately and who are keen to shape their ideas and writing for the different platforms and endless media & technical possibilities out there…. So yes, you’re probably in your third or fourth year of work and are looking for somewhere that feels like home, somewhere where you get to work on exciting brands that talk to a broad sector of South Africans, taking your highly-considered words into the hearts of a listening and engaged consumer. You’re also wanting to learn more about being a creative in our industry and are willing to get your hands dirty in many spheres of the business besides writing, like community management, where your carefully worded replies light fires under the brandlove woodpile in our different communities.

Please note we are a new-age agency with a tightknit, nimble, and highly-diverse crew who are always learning and shifting. Although some days are a little mad, if you’re looking for a revisit of the Mad Men days, we won’t be the right fit. Candidates who are curious about culture and communications are most encouraged; as are those who are brimming with energy and ideas.

• Great at research and sharing insights with the team

• Able to brainstorm and write up ideas in good time
• Gets on with work under pressure – efficient and high-performing
• Able to take critique and feedback on board and improve on the output
• Care deeply about developing their craft and produce inspirational, flawless work
• Afrofuturist and optimistic South Africans who is excited about our future and wants to bring-to-life future-minded ideas
• Must be energised and interested in being in an entrepreneurial environment
