Purpose of job: To inspect transport vehicles according to a set safety agenda for compliance; weigh and dispatch vehicles. To Register Transporters on a PC and manage the loading slot of vehicles. Job Requirements:
Grade 12
General writing, reading and communication skills in English
Attention to detail
Mostly working whilst standing
Submitting data to a computer system. Required Outputs: Visual inspection of vehicles, drivers and documents
Issuing of inspection certificate.
Reporting defects of vehicles and drivers
Rejecting a vehicle that fails the inspection
Communication with drivers.
Housekeeping of the area and buildings
Record keeping of the driver and vehicle information.
Issuing of despatch documents
Monitoring of vehicle movements. Personal Attribute: Good interpersonal attributes
Be able to work 12 hour shifts.
Ability to deal with various types of people
Accuracy and attention to detail.
