Job description
This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Information Technology professional to provide vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the group-wide information technology strategy for this JSE-listed Group in the Hospitality and Tourism industry.
You will be tasked with leading the planning and implementation of the Group’s information systems to support both distributed and centralised business operations, and achieve more effective and cost beneficial group-wide IT operations.
This will be supported by the development and implementation of IT governance policies and practices as well as the monitoring of these practices as they are executed and delivered within the groups IT function and the broader IT user community.
Requirements for consideration are:
Degree in Computer Science, IT or Computer Engineering
Certifications related to:
- A+ / N+ / S+
- Project Management
- IT Governance
- IT Risk Management
- Information Security Management
Level of Experience required:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the IT industry
- Minimum of five years’ experience in IT strategy, IT governance, IT risk management and IT compliance
- Knowledge of local regulations and global regulations related to IT
- Sound knowledge in IT technologies (implementation thereof not applicable)
- Preference will be given to IT professionals who have worked in a hospitality environment
