Job description

Burn Media is looking for an editor for Ventureburn, a web platform and publication which covers Africa’s tech startup sector.

Applicants should have at least three to five years of experience as a journalist, preferably with experience writing in the area of tech or business. They should also be interested in all things tech.

Those applying should also be self-starters, who are able to work under pressure both alone and in a team and who are able to take the initiative in seeking out new story ideas as well as assisting to develop commercial projects for the brand.

Previous editing experience is an advantage as is a knowledge of South Africa’s startup scene and small business sector.
