eNCA | ANC councillors disrupt State of the Capital Address
PRETORIA – What was supposed to be Tshwane’s State of the Capital Address on Thursday has descended into chaos.
ANC councoillors interupted Mayor Solly Msimanga when he wanted to deliver his speech and continued demonstrating throughout Thursday morning.

After several pleas for calm from the Speaker fell on deaf ears, Msimanga’s address had to be temporarily adjourned.

eNCA Reporter Lirandzu Themba said some workers at the Tshwane Events Centre and journalists were threatened with violence they were prevented from recording the chaos.
Police had arrived on the scene and were expected to remove some councillors from the venue.
