JOHANNESBURG – Stephen McGown lives to tell the tale after six years in captivity.

He’s back with his family in Johannesburg.

McGown was abducted by al-Qaeda in Timbuktu, Mali in 2011.

His release was secured following protracted negotiations.

McGown will make his first public appearance since his release at the Gift of the Givers centre.
