eNCA | Former MEC Qedani Mahlangu suspended from UK school
JOHANNESBURG – Former Gauteng Health MEC, Qedani Mahlangu, has been suspended from the Global Banking School in London.
The institution is citing serious allegations relating to the Life Esidimeni tragedy.
A 141 psychiatric patients died after being transferred from Life Esidimeni facilities to unlicensed NGOs.
Arbitration hearings have been taking place, where families had to hear the gruesome details of how their loved ones died.
They also told of their grief, after some only found out months later that their relatives had died.
There have been widespread calls for Mahlangu to testify at the hearings.
