eNCA | Makhosi Khoza retires from politics
JOHANNESBURG – Former African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament (MP) Makhosi Khoza has retired from politics.
This was revealed in a post on Facebook on Saturday.
Khoza in September announced she would leave the ANC after she reached the conclusion the governing party had become alien and corrupt.
The outspoken politician, who claimed she received death threats for speaking out against corruption, subsequently announced the formation of her own party, the African Democratic Change.
The move was confirmed by the party in a post on Twitter.
The ADeC National Council has met today. We accept the Leaders request to step down. We thank you for paving the way of moral and ethical leadership. #ADeC2019 #ForwardADeCForward @Dr_MakhosiKhoza

Reports in March emerged that Khoza was suspended from the party she helped found, a claim she denied.
