eNCA | NFP calls for a review on VAT increase
JOHANNESBURG – The National Freedom Party is urging government to review its decision to increase VAT.
The NFP’s call comes as Value Added Tax goes up from 14 percent to 15 percent on Sunday.

The increase won’t affect basic foods like brown bread, milk powder, maize meal and vegetable oil.
The NFP and several opposition parties say the hike will have a huge negative impact on the poor.
