eNCA | SAA’s Myeni under fire
JOHANNESBURG – The Companies Tribunal will hear on Monday whether or not SAA board chair Dudu Myeni breached the Companies Act.
The matter is in connection with the plan to purchase planes from Airbus.
The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission made adverse findings against Myeni in 2016.
She was found guilty of contravening two sections of the Companies Act.
Myeni wants those findings declared invalid, citing that proper processes were not followed.
SAA has endured tough financial problems since Myeni began her tenure in 2012.
The airline recorded a loss of nearly a billion rand in the 2016/17 year.
