POLOKWANE – The Department of Higher Education is urging students in Limpopo to apply at the Waterberg and Lephalale TVET colleges.
The call is part of efforts to ease pressure at the Peter Mokaba stadium.
The department says the Waterberg and Lephalale colleges still have space to accommodate late applicants.
Deputy Minister of Higher Education Buti Manamela is expected to visit the stadium on Monday morning.
Application processes are expected to resume on Monday.
They had been suspended last week following a stampede in which six people were injured.

Two prospective students were also run over outside the college on Thursday.
Hundreds of hopeful students have been camping out the Peter Mokaba stadium since Saturday.
They’re hoping to secure spots after government’s announcement of free higher education, but the institution says it can accept only around 1,000 applications.
Last week, the DA blamed the EFF for the stampede at the Capricorn TVET College, while the EFF Students Command has put the blame squarely on the college’s management.
It says the management did not keep to the agreement in dealing with applications.
The EFF has vowed to stay put until all students are helped.
