eNCA | Zille files representations against suspension
CAPE TOWN – Helen Zille has filed her submissions to prevent her possible suspension to the Democratic Alliance on Tuesday.
Zille had until 5 pm to represent why she should not be suspended because of a series of tweets discussing the advantages of colonialism.
Party leader Mmusi Maimane announced Zille’s suspension on Saturday but, Zille fired back, accusing him of violating the DA’s rules.
The former party leader is accused of bringing the party into disrepute with her tweets.
Zille said the handling of her impending suspension by Maimane, shows that her fate has already been decided.
