Events and Function Coordinator Position
A position has opened for a dynamic events coordinator at a premier conference and events venue in Port Elizabeth. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our service orientated team. Our aim is to create memorable events that exceed our clients’ expectations. Responsibilities includes:
– Generate new business.
– Event management from enquiry to completion.
– Preparing documents according to company’s operating procedures.
– Working with clients to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
– Organizing facilities and details, including (not limited to) décor, catering and entertainment. – Maintain and develop professional event supplier relationships.
– Build and maintain productive business relationships. – Innovatively create exciting public events.
– Assist accounts department with financial features.
– Initiate new business ideas.
– Communicate with stakeholders regarding weekly and monthly planning. Requirements:
– Minimum 3 years in events coordination/hospitality (proof of functions and clients will be required)
– Basic computer skills .
– Some financial acumen – Excellent time management and communication skills.
– Ability to manage multiple projects independently & simultaneously.
– Maintain interpersonal communication channels among staff members.
– Exceptional attention to detail
– Adaptable and creative thinker
