Job description
This is a fantastic opportunity to start 2021 on a high note, as the events coordinator for this highly prestigious financial and health services Group.
They provide integrated health solutions that meet the needs of clients in the different segments and maximise lifetime client value. The are looking to appoint a dynamic, highly organized Events Coordinator who has an impeccable record of Project Managing large scale Events.
Role purpose
To plan, coordinate and implement all aspects of events from conceptualization to delivery and post-event debriefing and evaluation.
Responsibilities and work outputs
- Engage with stakeholders to determine event requirements and develop creative brief
- Advise and guide stakeholders on creative event ideas , concepts and logistics
- Create and manage annual events calendar by identifying all events for the year
- Manage and coordinate the logistics (venue hire, transport, catering etc.) and communications (date, invitations, teasers etc.)
- Manage the service delivery and standards of service providers to ensure the successful delivery on the event brief
- Assist with identifying, securing and preparing sponsorships, speakers, participants for specific events in line with the event brief
- Manage and control RSVP management and registration of participants
- Liaise with various branding, marketing and communications teams to promote the event and manage promotional activities
- Provide on-site event support and coordinate staff and service providers to ensure the event runs smoothly
- Deliver events within the agreed events budget, time and quality parameters
- Track and control event expenses and perform post-event evaluations by producing reports for event stakeholders

Requirements
- Marketing/events/public relations qualification is essential
- Must have experience in event coordination – a minimum of four to six years
- Excellent knowledge of events management principles
- Experience in stakeholder engagement is essential
- Experience in Project Management
- Superior attention to detail and must be deadline driven
- Impeccable writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Takes initiative and works well independently
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to translate a creative concept into a clear content plan
