Job description
The position is for an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and contentious designer with a strong creative flair. The appointed individual will take ownership of the design division, curating deliverables from concept ideation, through to sound execution.
Key responsibilities for the position will include:
- The design of all media assets – both print and digital.
- When applicable, assist with presenting to clients.
- Strategic procrastination. Generating unique and powerful creative ideas.
- Web development. Clean, simple, and responsive designs.

Gilbertson Consulting (Pty) Ltd is a newly formed, startup, Marketing and Research Agency operating in the B-2-B sector. This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial designer to take ownership of, and grow the design arm of the organisation. The position offers the potential for partnership and profit-sharing.
Requirements
- Prerequisite: Must have advanced design and coding capabilities.
- Tertiary Education. Degree in design or similar.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a related industry.
- Proficient with HTML(5), CSS, and Javascript.
- Proficient with Adobe CS4 — particularly Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of industry software, i.e. Mailchimp, FB Business Manager, Harvest.
- Presentable with acute organisational and project management skills.
- Proficient with one (or more) off-the-shelf CMS platforms, i.e. WordPress, Wix, Shopify.
- A sound understanding of industry design requirements.
