Duties and responsibilities:
Development and procurement of consumer electronics and other merchandise categories from time to time

Various reporting on product and category performance
Understanding the local and international consumer electronics environment and the competitors therein in order to ensure relevancy and competitiveness within the market
Requirements
Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required
Grade 12 certificate and a relevant tertiary qualification is essential
Three to five years of retail merchandise buying experience is essential
A proven track record of achieving business results
A passion for outdoor equipment and consumer electronics
Working knowledge of the retail cycle and merchandise buying principles and processes
Understanding and experience in retail planning principles and processes is advantageous
A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages is required

Goal The goal of the outreach coordinator is to engage and motivate a team of GVI ambassadors who will carry out activities to raise awareness of GVI, cultivate prospective participants and activate GVI partners, in the next 15 countries most important to GVI after the UK.
Specific responsibilities
To onboard all new GVI ambassadors into the GVI ambassador team, having received their contact data from either the field or sales teams.
Provide materials clearly outlining the roles which GVI ambassadors can play, and the rewards and impacts from doing so.
Motivate the GVI ambassadors team, interacting with them frequently in a range of ways to maintain their engagement.
Agree with the marketing director and then execute a rolling schedule of activities to raise awareness of GVI in geographically – and demographically – relevant target markets, with a strong focus on awareness-leading-to-response.
Maintain a group of GVI ambassadors available to the sales and marketing functions who are available to speak to or meet up with prospective participants or their parents.
Agree with the head of partnerships and execute a rolling schedule of activities to raise awareness of GVI and increase GVI bookings at a branch level of GVI partners, using GVI ambassadors.
What does success look like?
Awareness of GVI in the geographies and across the target markets increases significantly, and bookings from the geographies increase greatly.
KPIs
Trackable direct bookings resulting from in-country activities.
