This global manufacturing concern is currently looking for a HR & IR Group Manager, who will report to the Divisional Head of Corporate Services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology or related.
- Minimum of 1O years Generalist experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, unionised environment.
- SAP experience (preferred).
- Willingness to travel locally.
Overall Job Functions:
- Guide and manage the overall provision of the Human Resources function to the Plant.
- Manage and implement policies and programs for the Plant through planning and implementing pro-active IR strategies & progressive HR activities.
- Maintain discipline at all levels.
- Ensure accurate HR Administration, reporting as well as adherence to safety norms & statutory requirements, networking with external agencies (Industrial Bodies, Associations).
- Manage and facilitate adhoc projects: expatriate accommodation and welfare, CSI strategy and other related matters.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate training, development and performance management initiatives.
- Facilitate the recruitment of staff.
- Effectively manage employee welfare services within corporate guidelines with the objective of ensuring smooth operations in the group.
- Implement and co-ordinate the company performance management and improvement processes and systems.
- Support the training needs analysis and annual training plan with the Training department in order to facilitate progression on individual development plans and improve employee capabilities.
- Ensure legal compliance to all applicable labour legislation.
- Implement health, safety and welfare programs that assist with and improve employee wellbeing and productivity.
- Provide leadership through goal setting, capabilities development, performance feedback and career planning, help recruit and retain competent and high performing staff in order to ensure departmental service delivery and achievement of departmental goals.
