Halle Berry Shares Photo of 6-Pack Abs on Instagram—and Her Fans are Freaking Out
Stop what you’re doing, put down all hot liquids, and prepare yourself for a real can-you-believe-she-looks-like-that moment.
Behold, Halle Berry’s actual six-pack abs—and in her new Instagram photo posted Friday, she looks pretty pleased about them. As she should be, of course; apparently Berry worked hard for those washboard abs while training for her new movie, Bruised.
“There’s no better feeling than setting a goal and smashing it,” Berry, 53, wrote. “One of my goals for #BruisedTheMovie? Ripped Abs – and today? I finally got them, and it feels unbelievable!”

Luckily, Berry shared her top tips and encouragement in the post for setting a goal (like her abs) and sticking with it. “I encourage you to guys to set your bar,” she wrote. “What is your fitness goal? Set the BAR higher than you think, share your goal in the comments and HOLD yourself to it.”
Yes, it sounds difficult—and Berry agrees that the work won’t be easy, but says that the payoff will be “worth every damn second.”
Even then, Berry didn’t stop there—in her Instagram Stories, she shared her “Fitness Friday: Bruised Edition,” appearing alongside her Bruised performance coach Mubarak “Bar” Malik to share some of the exact moves she does to get those ripped abs—all including a kettlebell.
Her routine includes kettlebell squat presses (three sets of 10 reps each), kettlebell swings (three sets of 15 reps each), and kettlebell lift-and-lunge (three sets of five reps each, on each side).

This is obviously not the first time Berry has shown off her physique (and workout routines) on Instagram. A quick glance—okay, an envious trawl—through it, and it’s clear that she’s seriously dedicated to staying fit. In January 2018, she and her longtime trainer Peter Lee Thomas started their #FitnessFriday video series, in which they post something inspiring about fitness to inspire her followers.
Earlier this year, Thomas told the Los Angeles Times that “there’s no secret” to Berry’s off-the-chart bod, except really, really hard work. “With Halle, she has the drive and the tenacity,” he said. “She shows up and looks at working out as something that has to be done and she doesn’t hold back.”
And Malik agrees. On Berry’s Instagram stories, he declares, “Halle is a beast […] Her mental focus is top, top level […] She has been killing it every day, she trains like four hours a day […] She’s inspired me, and I thought I was at a certain level.”
And it's not just Berry's trainers that are giving her all the praise—her fans and other celebs on Instagram can't stop fawning over Berry's super-ripped core. "Gains!!" wrote actor Michael B. Jordan, while Gabrielle Union added, "Let. Them. KNOW!!!"

They are die-hard Kaizer Chief supporters, and it couldn’t be more fitting that their team completed their happiness for the week by winning over their arch-rivals, Orlando Pirates. The couple is still overwhelmed with all the love they’ve received, their instant fortune, and pledges towards their wedding.
However, they did send this message to everyone who is rallying behind them: “Thank you, South Africa. Your kindness has truly warmed us. We would have never imagined that our love story would have touched so many of you. While we appreciate the support, we ask that you, please give us a moment to take it all in. We will definitely let you know about our plans around the wedding.”
Social media users have come together, pledging resources towards a dream wedding for the couple who got engaged at KFC this week.
A pledge to MC the wedding snowballed into wedding cakes being offered, wedding day jewellery, hair and makeup for the bride, a hotel stay and flights to a honeymoon destination.

Six-year-old Belgian shepherd police dog Ounooi is in a stable condition after she was stabbed by a suspect on Saturday morning.
Ounooi is attached to the Port Alfred K9 unit, and responded to a housebreaking complaint with her human SAPS members in the early hours of Saturday, said Mali Govender from the South African Police (SAPS).
The team followed a lead to the beach in the small Eastern Cape town when Ounooi’s handler spotted the suspect.
Govender explained that Ounooi’s handler warned the suspect to stop and he ignored the command. He then unleashed Ounooi.
“The handler then released his patrol dog – Ounooi and whilst she attempted to apprehend the suspect, the offender then started to stab Ounooi on her upper body and in the chest area.
“Weak from the stab wounds, Ounooi collapsed and the suspect ran towards the water.
“Ounooi was taken to the local vet for medical treatment. The stab wounds damaged muscles close to her heart. She is currently in a stable condition and has been booked off duty to recuperate,” Govender explained.
The suspect could not be found, and the search is ongoing, said police.
Port Alfred police Cluster Commander, Brigadier Morgan Govender wished Ounooi a heartfelt and speedy recovery.
“Ounooi has displayed extreme dedication, bravery and courage throughout her four years in the service and has been instrumental in apprehending several suspects whilst on duty. The handler will be referred for trauma counselling.”
Govender condemned the attack on Ounooi.
“An attack on a police official is an attack on the state and similarly, an attack on any of our serving canine or equine personnel is an attack on the state.
“These faithful animals serve alongside their human police officers of the SAPS with passion, discipline and dedication,” said Govender.

The 14-men Cheetahs slipped 11-0 down but scored two quick tries through speedsters Rhyno Smith and Clayton Blommetjies to take a 14-11 lead just after the half-hour mark.
However, two late first half penalties saw the Blues take a six-point lead into the break.
The Cheetahs lost momentum early in the second half when flank Gerhard Olivier received a yellow card, allowing the hosts to calmly close the contest out.
After a bright start to the season, which saw the Cheetahs win three games at home, they have now lost three in a row on the road.
The Cheetahs’ next match is against Welsh outfit Ospreys in Swansea on November 30.
