A leading transport company is recruiting for an executive manager in ICT.

The purpose of the position will be to provide leadership and strategic direction for the IT infrastructure, i.e. network management, hosting services, and comms collaboration functions.

The following is required:

• A computer science degree, electrical engineering degree or bachelor’s degree in other related field
• A minimum of 10-12 years’ experience in senior IT management role or similar including at least:
• Nine years’ experience in ICT technical operations management, of which five years should be in senior technical operations management of large scale mission-critical IT operations, four years in client interfacing roles with business, IT infrastructure or complex programme management role
• Evidence of previous exposure in business software portfolio management, system engineering principles for large and complex systems, software development lifecycle, software maintenance and support
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability and gravitas to engage with external service providers
• Identification and resolution of problems in a timely manner and gathering and analysing of information
• Demonstration of excellent presentation skills (to both small and large audiences) and conducts productive meetings
