Vibrant social business start-up called SolarTurtle is looking for a dynamic EE Field Manager with strong research, community and stakeholder engagement experience to join their small team in East London, as part of a research and development project to create a range of new solar energy kiosks run by woman from less privileged communities – called BabyTurtles. We require a resilient self-starter that is able to take ownership of tasks and operate with minimal supervision. This position requires an extrovert who is a confident public speaker, who possesses technical and commercial experience to facilitate and lead one-on-one discussions with key stakeholders, communities and prospective entrepreneurs, as well as provide training and skills transfers as and when required. Requirements: • BEE position: will be given preference. • Valid driver’s licence – Code 08 (experience driving with trailer will be advantage) • Fluent in isiXhosa and English • Degree or diploma in commerce, public relations or similar. • Strong communication and PR skills. • Demonstrated experience in training and development. • Data analysis and use of various forms of technology. • Proven experience in commerce, sales and business development, public relations, research and skills development.
