Job description
Purpose of Position:
To provide support as a team member for effective and efficient functioning of the operations, logistics, administration and marketing functions in the region.
Major responsibilities:
- Monitor activities at designated ECD centres, including the reviewing completion of Stock Registers, noting issues that require attention, completing mobile phone surveys and Body Mass Index measurements.
- Monitor the resources and improve the capacity of ECD centres to carry out the nutrition programme effectively.
- Assist the community development officer in the coordination of all field activities related to ECD centres in designated areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Reporting:
- Submit accurately completed monthly reports to the CDO.
- Report any recommendations, issues and/or critical problems in a timely manner.
- Maintain contact through a mobile phone during working hours with CDO
Key performance indicators:
- Stock Registers are collected, checked for accuracy, corrected and processed in the reporting system and handed to the CDO by the 3rd of each month.
- Mobile monitoring data is completed at least once per month per ECD and a second time in the event of issues that require the ECDs attention.
- Nutritional assessments are completed per the MnE requirements.
- ECD are (re)trained on Stock Registers, child nutrition and hygiene, inventory controls, preparation and storage of CSS+ during visits to the ECDs.
- JAMSA ECD data base information is updated monthly.
- CSS+ delivery/distribution points within Monitors areas are fixed and the following carried out:
- All ECD are informed of delivery dates
- All ECD sign for CSS+ and other items received
- All CSS+ delivery is collected by ECD
- Travel Claims are submitted to the CDO by the 3rd of each month for the previous month.
- Maintain mobile phone contact during working hours with the CDO.
- Adherence to JAM Human Resources Policies
Knowledge, skills and abilities: The following knowledge, skills and abilities have been acquired through a combination of formal education, life-long learning, and prior experience or on the job training:
- Minimum of grade 12
- Experience in community development/activities
- Knowledge of local and South African context
- Knowledge of M&E procedures
- Self-starter
- Reside in the area of work
- Christian who shows a desire to serve humanity and strengthen their relationship with the Lord.
