Job description
We are looking for a competitive Field Sales Manager to develop sales strategies and attract new clients.
The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services. Candidate will need to mentor and monitor sales agents.
Field sales manager needs to manage presence on shelf especially in all top end retail outlets.
- Manage promotional activity
- Achieve POP objectives
- Manage sales agents and achievement of sales targets
- Liaise with customers and clients
- Monitor new product developments
- Identify sales targets per channel per month and draw up quarterly project plans as to how these targets will be achieved for the assigned districts.
- Develop creative and innovative ways to market Company’s product or services.
- Generate district sales and trade reports for the management on weekly basis.
- Correspond proactively with all corporate partners to maintain positive and long term business relationship.
- Communicate regularly with customers to inform about new products, special promotions, etc.Conduct product training and product demonstrations for customers.
- Identify sales and marketing opportunities within the assigned districts
- Assist in development of annual operational and sales plan for assigned district offices.
- Recommend changes in sales or marketing approach to ensure sales and service objectives are met successfully.
- Collaborate with third party agent to ensure effective coordination in the achievement of organizational goals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market competitions through continuous market research and analysis.
- Monitor and manage sales expenses within the allotted budget.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Drivers licence and reliable vehicle
- Relevant Tertiary Education in Sales and Marketing or related field
- Two years’ field management experience in FMCG industry
- Five years’ experience in sales environment (Top end retail, pharmacy and independent wholesalers)
- Sales experience with direct selling experience and a track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong business development and prospecting skills; Ability to quickly and effectively acquire new clients
- Computer use competency
- Self motivated and driven
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, relationship building and presentation skills
