Our client, a global producer of nonwoven textiles wishes to recruit a general manager to join their dynamic team. The right candidate will be responsible for managing the plant and ensuring all processes and procedures are followed.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for the plant with respect to all activities to achieve goals concerning quantity, quality, costs and development of the organisation
• Participation in decision-making concerning the plant’s annual budget and in the preparation of investment projects, responsible for the fulfilment of projects 
• Organisation of human resources so that it is secured by means of recruitment, professional supervision, training and evaluation and assurance of the employees’ motivation
• Implementation of quality assurance requirements according to company policy
• Effective management and safety of the land, buildings, all assets and employees in the workplace
• Adherence to legislative changes and regulations 
• Cooperation with local authorities and representatives of the public

Qualification and experience

• University education with a technical, legal or economic specialisation
• Work experience in a similar position for a minimum period of three years ideally coming from a production environment of a large corporation with hygiene standard

• Excellent communication skills in English 
• Computer literate (MS Office package) 
• Proven leadership capabilities
• Developing and managing a multi-shift 24/7 operation
• Personal credibility
• Flexible and dynamic nature
