We are recruiting for a dynamic, Chartered Accountant, who is passionate, strategic, an information systems guru who has excellent project management skills.

This position will form part of a compact team accounting for the Group’s finances, with the main responsibility being to implement systems with strategic vision, to handle individual company accounts, consolidations, and a focus on financial analysis and reporting. Taxation experience is essential.

Our client provides financial, administrative and strategic advisory services to a well-established private group of local and international companies, with exposure to securities and stock market investment, real estate, hospitality, agriculture, game breeding, and the consumer sector.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• CA(SA) – CTA / Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy or GDA with a completed APC
• Taxation qualification and experience (including international) would favour the candidate
•  5-10 years’ post article experience in a financial accounting role or similar experience
• Consolidation of accounts experience
• Experience in reporting to provide concise and incisive information for business units
•  Strong numeracy and excel skills – excel skill at an advanced level with the ability to write macros,
• Practical experience with accounting systems (Xero, Pastel, Sage, VIP)
• Self-motivated and disciplined with attention to detail
• Knowledge of financial instruments and experience in multi-currency accounting also preferable
• Strategic thinker
