Health24.com | SEE: Do you want to know what it feels like dying?
Have you ever wondered what it would be like at the end of your life when you’re in the process of dying?
Professor of anatomy and forensic anthropology, Sue Black, is intrigued with death and wants to experience it to the fullest.
She says she doesn’t remember being born, so she would really like to fully experience death.
She is internationally renowned for her work in forensic investigation where she has worked on several cases in Kosovo, Sierra Leone and Grenada. She was also part of the United Kingdom’s team working on the Thai Tsunami Victim Identification Operation in 2004.
Speaking in an interview with HARDtalk’s Stephen Sackur, Black says that death is your last, great adventure which you will only go through once.
She adds that when you’re going on a long journey in life, you prepare for that journey, so, why do we not prepare for dying? Black wants to experience it all. “I want to know what it feels like, what it sounds like, what it tastes like.”
Black said that yes, she wants to experience death to its full potential, even though she says she presumably will remember none of it, because she’ll simply die.
