Hygiene and Cleaning Technologist
The successful candidate will form part of the Technical Team, be responsible for the managing and coordinating factory night and day cleaning activities conducted by internal staff and external service provider/s.
Responsibilities:
Key Areas of Responsibilities will include the following but not be limited to:
- Hygiene and cleaning system maintenance, procedural implementation and continuous improvement.
- Manage and control clean-as-you-go, valet, day and night cleaning for the entire factory and premises.
- Conduct pre-ops inspection and audits after night cleaning.
- Coordinate and conduct hygiene audits (internal auditing) of all areas in and around the factory.
- Completion of all the relevant quality related documentation for all checks conducted.
- Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety, Hygiene, FSMS standards.
- Responsible for the upkeep of hygiene and cleaning standards, working closely with the FSMS Manager.
- Adherence to GMP’s, PRP’s, audits and inspections.
- Provide technical support to day and night cleaning teams.
- Manage and ensure adherence to set hygiene and cleaning standards at the factory.
- Minor dismantling and assembling of low risk equipment.

Requirements
Requirements and experience
- Minimum 3 years FMCG experience in related field.
- Food Safety and Quality Management tertiary qualification/ training certificates (HACCP/ ISO 22000).
- Strong food safety, chemical handling and auditing background.
- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety, with relevant training certificates.
- Good excel spreadsheet skills.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Willingness to work shifts in rotation including night hours, overtime and public holidays as and when required.
o Day shift: 05:00am to 15:00pm
o Night shift: 22:00pm to 08:00am
- Experience in the requirements of a chicken abattoir (including Meat Safety Act).
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Self-starter, motivated and independent worker.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
