From the time of his arrival, the Superintendent General (SG) Mr Themba Kojana has advocated the concept of building a team and change management, professing that he has come to be part of a team, also to build a team that will take the department forward and change the narrative about the department.

Promoting good working relations and excellent service delivery have been at the helm of his period in the department. He seeks to build a workforce that is motivated, willing to embrace positive change and eager to serve.

It is against this background that the Department together with the SG have come up with and created a blog for the Head of Department, where Mr. Kojana will personally be responsible for the content and interacts with his constituency.  The link to the SG’s Corner Blog is available on the ECDoE website (www.ecdoe.gov.za) top right.

This platform will afford all stakeholders (teachers, parents, learners and administrators) an opportunity to engage with the SG, ask questions and discuss a wide range of topics that speaks to development and transformation of the department.

p>He has committed to avail himself on this platform at least once a week (Fridays), for an hour from 14h00-15h00.
