A global innovative finance platform seeks a highly skilled intermediate Oracle developer to be involved with application development of ERP financial systems and subsystems, ensure quality development and implement built solutions. You should have a Computer Science/IT Degree/BTech or Diploma, four+ years’ experience in systems development and your skillset should include: Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL or similar, Oracle. Oracle Forms and Reports experience a must. Please note this is an EE position only.

Duties: 

• Create logical and innovative solutions for medium to very complex requirements.
• Compile designs for program delivery which is aligned to documented user expectations.
• Make programming changes, within technical level of competence, to deliver on project objectives.
• Develop quality programs, minimising rework.
• Review technical deliverables to ensure that what has been built meets user expectation.
• Provide timeline estimates for delivery of project work.
• May be required to assist in quality assurance, system and user acceptance testing.
• May be required to implement systems inclusive of configuration, training, on-site/remote support.
• Adhere to governance processes for delivery within the systems development life cycle.

Requirements: 

Qualifications – 

• BTech, IT/Computer Science Degree/Diploma.

Must-haves – 

• Oracle Forms and Reports experience required.

Experience/skills – 

• Minimum of four to six years in systems development for a senior developer.
• At least a year experience coding in Java and JavaScript.
• Analytical Skills using Object Oriented Programming.
• PL/SQL or similar query language.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using the required technology stack.
• Understanding of system functionality at the application level.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
• Must be able to travel (national and international).
• Able to:
• Plan work times required to deliver on project objectives.
• Understand and interpret documented user requirements from business or functional requirements.
• Understand and interpret technical system specifications
• Develop and implement systems.
• Produce technical specs for programs.
• Conceptual system design and compile suitable design documents.
• Complete Object-Oriented Design.
• Database design (logical and Physical models).
• Audit quality of programs developed.
• Provide viable solutions to ensuring that project deliverables remain on track as per agreed timeline.

Advantageous – 

• Oracle Certification.
• ERP experience and financial systems understanding.
• ADF training and/or ADF experience.

Attributes: 

• A self-starter who requires minimal supervision and takes high ownership of work assigned.
• Logical approach and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to provide guidance and support to junior/intermediate or other developers to ensure that project deliverables are met in the required time and budget estimations.
• Understanding of working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
