REQUIREMENTS
Exceptional news sense and a keen interest in current affairs
Experience in covering crime and courts
In-depth knowledge of all spheres of government and the legal and constitutional framework they operate in
Ability to identify and investigate issues without fear or favour
Patience and focus to commit to long-term investigations
A solid understanding of news writing and journalistic ethics
Write and edit in Afikaans and English
Forge community and stakeholder relationships
Experience in multiple platforms
Because we conform to a print and digital working environment you must be comfortable to work in a deadline-driven newsroom
Willing to work long hours
A recognised journalism degree or diploma
Photographic skills
Computer literate
Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
