Johannesburg based leading financial giant, is urgently looking for an exceptional application development manager who will be responsible for management and control of resources to meet business application requirements.

Requirements:

• Three to four years’ experience as a development manager
• Java web based projects experience a massive advantage
• Team size between 20 and 25 people  
• Previous experience as an application systems analyst
• Previous Java programming experience will assist majorly in securing an interview

Responsibilities:

• Management and control of resources to meet business application requirements. Includes defining processes, risk analyses, cost-benefit analyses
• Drive business profitability in the context of cost management through information technology solutions
• Develop an IT service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service
• Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SMEs, project managers and senior staff members by providing input to business requirements
• Ensure the team resolve all customer IT service efficiently and within agreed timelines
• Analyse and develop business improvements based on data analysed, data collected, reviewed, and incorporation of all internal and external benchmarking data into IT project planning
• Prepare business cases for projects and technology update
• Communicate accurately on IT project status in all appropriate meetings as well as on the relevant reports
