Our Cape Town based client, a software and services company who focuses on online transactions, requires a Java software architect and lead developer to improve the quality of their predominantly Java-based software.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in the following:
- SDLC from capturing business requirements to the design and delivery of applications.
- Must have team lead/architectural experience.
- Online transaction processing.
- Multi-threaded programming and solving concurrency issues.
- Reliable messaging, think TCP/HTTP/XML/SOAP/REST.
- SQL Database design.
- Should have experience in the following technologies:
- Proficient in Linux, including command line tooling
- Java standard edition and JEE (mostly related to web applications)
- Spring Framework, including Spring Security, Spring MVC
- Tomcat
- PostgreSQL and Oracle
- Generally, well versed in Java open source libraries.
- GWT (Google Web Toolkit)
- Git
- Mybatis
- Gradle
- JMeter
- Artifactory
