Environment:

If you’re ambitious and driven and can’t hide your passion for coding then a dynamic tech start-up aiming to satisfy any foodie’s needs wants you as their next Junior C# Developer. You must be equipped with the required development tools including C#, REST, Git, MVC 5/Core and have a minimum of two years’ software development experience. A related tertiary qualification will prove beneficial. Plenty of room to grow and remote work on offer.

Duties:

Working closely with the team leader, and product owner for understanding and delivering on business requirements, the junior C# developer will be expected to –

• Design, develop and modify modules based on functional and system requirements.
• Work with the senior software engineer to ensure architectural and product quality.
• Participate in the testing process through unit tests and bug fixes.
• Contribute in daily scrum meetings as well as sprint planning sessions.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and assistance to the support staff and/or liaise with clients as and when it becomes necessary.
• Decision making and strategy on the long-term growth of the business’s online platform.
• Develop APIs for devices and other services to connect with.
• Day-to-day routine work such as solving any customer issues and patching any bugs found.
• Continuous short-term development and adding of features to the system in accordance to the development road map.

Requirements:

Qualifications –

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent demonstrable experience is preferred.

Experience/skills –

• Two to three years of software development experience.
• Developing with and using any or all of the following:
• C#, REST, Git, MVC 5 MVC Core
• Reasonable proficiency in relational databases – MySQL, PostgreSQL.
