Job Description-

• Responsible for receiving, documenting, and distributing all incoming claim documentation received (mainly via e mail) 
• Responsible for the claims administration of incoming claims
• The candidate will be in charge of logging, handling and following up clients’ claims concerning loss or damage of their freight.
• The candidate will handle all calls and emails relating to client claims.
• The candidate will be responsible for identifying and processing these claims using procedures that have been put in place. S/he will make sure that these procedures are followed at all times.
• Receive incoming claim documentation for a variety of claims from a variety of customers
• Make a detailed record for each claim in existing Claims data base system
• Look up and identify contract information that links claim documents received to a specific customer and client
• Take phone calls from different levels of customers and provide status on claim documents received, etc
• Assess each claim, making recommendation on the outcome of the claim, within the stipulated time frame
• Communicate the status of each claim to the claimant as well as the carrier.
• Update claim payment information within the system
• File all processed claims
• Back up resource to assist Claims Team and other departments as needed
