We need a real copywriter. Not just someone who’s a writer. We want the real deal old-school, genuine article. An advertising copywriter. So not a journalist or someone who thinks puns are awesome. We want someone with big ideas.

Your portfolio is far more important than your CV. The fact that you were a prefect in high school and had 6 As is nice, but that’s not enough to land you this role. In fact, we probably won’t even look at your CV if your portfolio doesn’t make us sit up and take notice. Who said there was no honesty in advertising?

We’re one of Durban’s leading advertising and communication agencies. We’re part of an international network. Our client list is just fantastic. You’ll get to work on everything from top newspaper brands to security barriers. Even salt.

It really is diverse.

Challenging? That’s for sure. You’ll be tasked with creating amazing work for everything from below-the-line and in-store promotions, to above-the-line and digital communication. Website and social media skills would be advantageous as well.

Teamwork? Absolutely. You need to be a team player. You’ll be paired with an Art Director, but will also work closely with designers. So being a lone wolf is not going to work. We’re a wolf pack.

Skills required

• Relevant degree/diploma from a recognised institution
• Conceptually brilliant
• A portfolio that reflects your passion and talent
• Through-the-line experience
• An understanding of production processes and experience in executing work

Remuneration

Negotiable based on experience and qualification.
