We are looking for a junior writer in the Cape Town/Drakenstein area who is passionate about creating inspiring and informative content for a number of brands. To thrive in this role, you should have an interest in marketing and promotions, a passion for writing and content creation, a readiness to learn and the ability to work under a deadline.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate and highly engaging content for clients. This will include a broad range of content, such as short and punchy social media posts, engaging email newsletters and blogs, website copywriting and SEO, and media releases.
• Research for content writing purposes.
• Liaising with clients.
• Adopt the style and voice of each client when creating content.
• Meet deadlines as set out by the senior content team.
• Assist content writers in brainstorming ideas and sourcing information.

Requirements

• A matric certification
• A relevant tertiary degree or qualification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong grammatical understanding
• Ability to stay agile and motivated in a time-pressured working environment
• Adept at bringing briefs to life without relying on sales-speak
• Excellent general knowledge
• Good teamwork skills
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, error-free, engaging content to tight deadlines
