We are a leading South African publishing house and we are looking for a junior graphic designer to work on a number of our existing publications.

Job description

The junior graphic designer will work closely with the senior design team on all layouts, ensure that the design process runs smoothly and that the end product is of an impeccable standard.

• Design advertisements and advertorials until they are repro ready.
• Check advertisements and advertorials.
• Liaise with senior design team regarding design.
• Check imposition proofs.
• Prepare print-ready PDF’s.

Back up all designed editorial and ad material

Requirements

Knowledge

• Diploma/certificate in graphic design
• Minimum one year of working experience within the print/publishing industry (non-negotiable)

Skills

• Proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop
• Mac literate
• Creative skills
• Ability to work under pressure
