Environment:

A global hi-tech medical research company seeks a junior IT support specialist to join its team at their Mtubatuba site in Durban. Your core role will involve the day-to-day technical support to end users at all levels. The ideal candidate will require an IT Degree/Diploma or Certifications including A+, N+, INET MOUS or ITILv3, between one to two years’ in the IT industry or which a year must have been in desktop/helpdesk support. Your skillset should include Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, Group Policies, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Apple Mac OSX, Office, Office 365 and DHCP, DNS and General Networking. Any Linux will prove beneficial. Please note this is a 12-month contract.
Requirements:

Qualifications –

• IT degree/diploma or certifications such as A+, N+, INET MOUS, ITILv3.

Experience/skills –

• One to two+ years’ experience in IT field.
• At least one year of experience in desktop/helpdesk support or similar position.
• Microsoft technologies.
• Active Directory and Group Policies.
• Microsoft Windows operating systems and Apple Mac OSX experience.
• Microsoft desktop products including Office, Office 365.
• DHCP, DNS and general networking.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Valid Driver’s License.

Advantageous –

• Linux.
• Report writing.
