Junior Lecturer: Digital Production (Permanent Appointment)

Duties:
- Training students in software programmes and digital art and design across all years of study within the Visual Arts Department;
- Developing the digital art and design training programmes at a competitive level;
- Participating in the administration of the academic programmes related to digital training in the Visual Arts Department;
- Academic assessment of students;
- Assisting with the marketing of the Visual Arts Department and managing social media.
Requirements:
- Degree in New Media/Visual Communication Design/Information Design or Visual Arts;
- Skills in delivering digital training;
- The ability to promote innovation, creativity and critical thinking amongst undergraduate students;
- The ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in developing and coordinating academic, research-based and community-oriented programmes;
- Demonstrate potential to conduct independent research.
Recommendations:
- Expertise in digital media, arts and design, the Adobe Creative suite, including competency in HTML5/CSS3 and Responsive Design, and expertise with regard to information literacy;
- On-going interest in the area of new media, digital art and design technologies;
- Sound administrative and communication skills.
