Ninety9cents is a full-service, integrated advertising agency located in Cape Town and Johannesburg, and is one of South Africa’s largest independently owned agencies. Led by founder and Managing Director Andrew Brand, the agency’s extensive client base includes leading brands such as Shoprite/Checkers, Ackermans, PUMA, Spur Group, Capitec and Distell, to name but a few. 

 
We are looking for an art director who thinks a little differently – someone who can attack an open brief with very few parameters in addition to executing detailed briefs. They must be keen to go above and beyond of what’s traditionally expected of an Art Director, as well as tackle through-the-line brand work and retail. Must have a keen eye for detail and work well under tight deadlines and pitches.

Requirements

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Be willing to operate under the leadership of a group head and creative director to conceptualise and execute campaigns based on client briefs
• Present ideas both internally and to clients
• Maintain high standards for execution and attention to detail
• Collaborate well with a team and other departments. He/she will work very closely with the most senior team members and departments, both in person and via Skype or teleconference
• Possess strong skills in design software such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

Requirements:

• Relevant diploma/degree preferred
• Three+ years’ relevant experience as an art director or in a similar position
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
