Environment:

A dynamic IT and management consulting firmis seeking a talented junior performance engineer to join its team on a mission to continue advancing technology across the African continent. You will be expected to create performance test scripts, execute performance tests, collect and report on results. The successful candidate must have an IT Degree/Diploma, at least two years’ work experience in a similar role and certifications ineither .Net/Java, Databases such as SQL Server/Oracle or as a Systems Engineer (CISCO, MCSE) and some working knowledge of Statistics.

Duties:

• Develop and debug test scripts.
• Correlate and create test data for load testing.
• Execute tests and collect results.
• Monitor server, application, and database indicators to determine if test is running successfully.
• Create a dashboard and report of test results.
• Report on delivery progress to the technical test manager or IT manager.
• Work closely with a more experienced performance engineer to learn diagnostics techniques and how to analyse and develop detailed performance test reports showing findings and recommendations

Requirements:

• IT degree or diploma.
• Certification in programming (.Net/Java), Database (SQL Server, Oracle), Systems Engineer (CISCO, MCSE).
• Minimum two to four years’ experience.
• Statistics – foundational training either through qualification or additional training.
