Junior Product Development Assistant (Cape Town – Somerset West) Leading Media Company based in Somerset West is seeking the skills and experience of a Junior Product Development Assistant to provide assistance in production development.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 OR at least 3 years’ HSD experience on hardware and consumables
• Minimum 3 years’ previous experience (HSD, Digital signage or electronics industry)
• Excellent command of the English language
• MUST be Computer literate (MS Office – Word, Excel Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio), Firefox, Chrome, Google, Skype, TeamViewer, VNC, VPN, Instagram, CloneZilla, Nova STAR Screen control, Isenzo, Arcus, SWARM, ADAM

• Research methods

• Attention to neatness and detail

Job responsibilities:

Product Development

• Software testing
• Hardware testing
• Solution testing

Document Management and Reporting

• Bill of materials update (training required)
• Support documentation on ODM solutions
• Best practice guides
• Test reports
• Product sheets

HSD Workshop

• Provide support to HSD
• Provide training to HSD
• HSD communication and support for all regions
• Oversee HSD Western Cape and related ad-hoc HSD tasks as are operationally needed

Product Research

• Research technology and trends based on recommendations and giving feedback on findings

Installation

• Undergo training to become proficient on installations in order to give installation support and create guides
• Document new solutions/products while installation takes place
