A fast-paced digital agency seeks a highly skilled Lead PHP Developer to become the new addition to their vibrant, multi-talented team of coders, strategists & marketers. Your core role will be to design & maintain custom-built websites. You must possess a relevant Computer Science/ IT or related Degree, have at least 6 years related experience and your skillset should include: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL & developing for WordPress and other CMS platforms.

Duties:

• Create and maintain custom-developed websites, often using WordPress as a CMS.
• Participate in the conceptual phase of projects, defining deliverables and technologies.
• Work closely with other teams in the business to implement customer requirements.

Requirements:

Qualifications –

• A relevant Computer Science/Information Technology or related Degree.

Experience/Skills –

• Minimum of six years’ relevant experience.
• A strong understanding of – and experience in –
• PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
• MySQL database design and development.
• Developing for WordPress and other CMS platforms.
• Implementation, web standards, good coding practices as well as user-oriented/friendly design.
• Cross-browser compatibility including Internet Explorer rendering issues and solutions.
  • Experience leading a digital team.
  • Passionate about development and willing to make use of other languages/technologies when applicable.
  • Able to research emerging technologies and identify possible new applications.
