Lead Water Plant Operator needed in Welkom
BTech in Chemical Engineering
Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle All documents MUST be included with CV 4-6 Years min Water Plant & Chemical Engineering Working Experience required
Experience:
Monitor the water distribution SCADA system
Supervise and direct WP Operator involved in the Water Treatment Plant Daily plant & equipment inspection
Ensure policies & procedures are adhered to
Coordinate plant shutdowns, start-up, & process changes
Receive, load, and unload chemicals to emergency chemical leaks
Perform maintenance & preventative maintenance on plant systems and equipment
Conducts daily laboratory analysis, maintain lab inventory, and performs numerous complex calculations related to chemical treatment. Participate in utilities standby rotations and perform unscheduled maintenance and repair work as required outside of regular working hours to ensure 24-hour plant coverage. Set up work orders, give daily direction to maintenance contractors
Assists in the training of new operators and other water system personnel
Develop, perform, maintain and oversee in-house safety programs, risk assessments, safe work procedures and safety training records for the staff and visitors. Compile data; prepare electronic report, and complete logs detailing plant operation, ensuring accurate completion of operational, maintenance, lab, and other records necessary to ensure all approval and plant process requirements are met. Make recommendations on technical matters to Supervisor and Operators
Maintain and update database
Promote awareness of environmental issues for the general public and conducts tours of the plant. Duties, Responsibilities & Experience MUST be listed on CV
