A well-established construction firm has a vacancy available for an experienced maintenance foreman in Nelspruit.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or relevant NQF4 equivalent
• Relevant tertiary technical qualification as qualified tradesman (mechanical, electrical, or millwright)
• Three years’ experience in production environment
• Maintenance schedule and planning experience
• Must be computer literate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills on all levels
• Health and safety compliance knowledge 
• JDE experience will be an added advantage

Skills/duties:

• Check visually the functioning of machinery
• Identify machines or components to be repaired
• Initiate stores requisitions
• Identify and implement training in respect of machine repairs
• Check that safety regulations conform to OHSA
• Ensure maintenance scheduled is maintained and adhered to 
• Ensure that production can operate optimally with adequate machine availability
• Ensure maintenance team is trained and equipped to deal with stoppages in the factory
• Stock take is planned and levels are within the required target range
• Efficient repairs and maintenance work, both preventative and scheduled
• Ensure cost are within budget

Applicants must reside in Nelspruit or surrounding area.
