Job description
Due to exciting new opportunities, a corporate communications company specialising in delivering radio stations and music solutions for corporate and retail clients is looking for a music manager.
Main purpose of the position
To select and schedule music for multiple Adsat corporate radio stations on a daily basis, in line with the strategy and sound of each station. Passion for music and excellent music knowledge is essential for this role, as is high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
(Including but not limited to)
- Be responsible for the music database and managing the staff and the workflow in the music department
- Schedule daily music playlists in line with the station’s programming strategy
- Pro-actively source music
- Co-ordinate all music properties, audio levels and content across station platforms
- Schedule all daily music related on-air features and ensure alignment to rotation policies
- Schedule imaging elements, promos and content features
- Presentations to client
- Liaise with record companies and musicians
- Generate reports for the music licencing and royalties bodies
- Design music clocks
- Compile music features
- Research genres and collate research data
- Keep abreast of new music releases
- Filter through all music submissions
- Manage music categories
- Maintain music library, code and cart all new audio at the required levels

Requirements
- Tertiary education preferable but not essential
- Experience in radio or the music industry essential.
- Experience of music scheduling software and play-out systems
- Passion for music – excellent and varied music knowledge and grasp of music genres
- Computer literate
- Experience of audio editing software is advantageous
- Analytical aptitude – ability to work with complex music data with high attention to detail
- Systematic and organised
- Motivated and persistent
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Positive, honest and reliable with integrity
- Enjoys working with technology and has up to date knowledge of music trends and social media
- Ability to deliver a high standard of client service
- Show initiative and adaptability
- Excellent communication skills
