An accredited or approved Naval Architecture Degree or Master’s degree (MEng) in Naval Architecture is required; Registered with the Engineering Council as a professional engineer (Pr Eng) required (Membership with a naval architecture or marine engineering related professional body is preferred); A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in naval architecture; Thorough knowledge of Classification Society requirements and regulations, e.g. Lloyd’s, ABS, DNV&GL and Statutory Rules, e.g. SOLAS, MARPOL, SAMSA, DMA, MLC 2006, CAP 437. Fully abled, medically fit to go to sea, and suitable to obtain Namibian temporary work visa. Fixed Term Contract position for 36 months.
